I attended one of Marian’s workshops, then followed it up with a one-on-one session some time later. Her inputs into the structuring of my memoir, as well as ongoing communications regarding the writing of a power-packed synopsis to present to prospective publishers and/or agents, have been invaluable.

  2. Director, The Writing Business says:

Thank you Eddie. I enjoyed working with you and really look forward to seeing what happens next with your memoir.
For others reading this – preparing a synopsis is a difficult but valuable exercise. Imagine if you bump into an agent or publisher who may be interested in your book, or you see a competition you’d like to enter your book in but it closes tomorrow. If you don’t have a synopsis you face the panic of having to prepare one quickly. Have one ready, and you can quickly make adjustments and send it off. There is another reason that a synopsis is incredibly valuable, and that is in giving you a clear overview of your book and your story. If you can set out your story clearly and strongly in a synopsis you will have mastery over it.
